That lamp was a very special gift to the Old Soldier's wife from her best friend. The seashells were all ones the friend had collected at South Padre Island, after the Old Soldier's wife had become too ill to visit there anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe cross-stitched picture of shells above the mirror was one the Old Soldier's wife made in her last years of life -- she took up counted cross stitching as a hobby.
I was trying to frame it all together. I can just see the flash hiding behind the lamp, and I like the way the cross-stitch came out.
